Seedlings Playgroup with Bridget Location: Junction Park, Tumut Ages: 1 – 6 years Duration: 1.5 – 2 hours Join us for Seedlings Playgroup, a warm and welcoming nature play session held under the trees at Junction Park, Tumut. Designed for children aged 1 to 6 years, our playgroup invites families to slow down, explore, and connect through the magic of outdoor play. Guided by Bridget, a qualified teacher and a Forest School Leader in training, each gathering is filled with laughter, learning, and a touch of wonder. Each playgroup follows a gentle rhythm: - We begin together for group time, sharing safety reminders and an Acknowledgement of Country - A story or song sets the tone for the day - Children then explore and play freely, following their curiosity - We gather again for shared morning tea and a closing song before heading home What’s on Offer Every week brings something new, inspired by the seasons and the children’s interests: 🌿 Nature play and sensory exploration (mud, sand, water, and clay) 🎨 Nature-inspired art and craft 🎵 Stories, songs, and seasonal celebrations 🏕️Cubby building, climbing, and imaginative play 🍂 Exploring, collecting, and creating with nature What to Bring 🧢 Weather-appropriate clothing (we play rain or shine!) 🥾 Enclosed shoes or gumboots 🌞 A hat, water bottle, and nut-free morning tea 👕 A change of clothes and towel for messy play 🧴 Sunscreen and insect repellent applied before arrival Safety & Supervision Our sessions are thoughtfully risk-assessed and led by Bridget, who holds current first aid & CPR, child protection, and working with children checks. Parents and caregivers stay and play alongside their children, supporting them as they explore and take gentle, supported risks. Together, we create a safe and caring community where children can grow in confidence, curiosity, and connection with the natural world.
